We attended puppy training classes as soon as we could. Poppy loved it. She was very good and picked up the basic tricks quickly and easily. Ever the sociable Labrador, Poppy would decide that half way through the sessions she had had enough and get much greater pleasure trying to play. With all the other dogs and eating their treats - much to their owners disgust.
Shortly after having Poppy we moved to a new house with a large walled garden - perfect for Poppy and this is where the fun really started.....

The cutest puppy ever......
We collected Poppy when she was just 8 weeks old. We had been visiting the breeder since the week after she was born and she was trouble from the outset. Poppy was one of eight born, 6 boys and two girls and she chose us rather that the other way around. On visiting the puppies she was the only one to come over and say hello. So that was it, decision made. She was also the only puppy to escape from the run in the garden and make it into the goats field for a brief introduction and a play. That should have set the alarm bells ringing.....
